Part of the success of Liberty is without a doubt down to the fact that we work with strategic partners, trade groups and associations and network our socks off. So it was just a perfect day for Scott (CEO) and Glenn (MD) Marshall on 21st July with The Hill Club #summerthamescruise. After so long behind closed doors with just Zoom for company, it was really refreshing to have time with fellow industry professionals and meet new contacts too.
The Hill Club might not seem instantly like a catchy name for Cleaning Industry Networking events but there is a lovely story behind this.
“Established in April 2015 The Hill Club was named after the late Eric Hill, the founder of BICSc and the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners. The exclusive networking organisation was created by a group of industry professionals with the aim of providing a comfortable environment for business people within the cleaning industry to connect, network and establish mutually beneficial commercial relationships.
The club features cleaning contractors, specialist insurers, industry PR specialists, FM recruiters, janitorial suppliers, washroom service providers and industry cleaning specialists, alongside FM organisations and service procurers.”
Specialist Insurance for the industry
One of those specialist insurers attending was Rick Marshall, Director of Specialist Finance at The Affinity Group. Affinity is a mortgage broker, insurance adviser, and commercial loans expert. They consider themselves a close-knit team of finance professionals that take pride in getting to know their clients, understanding their needs and finding the best possible product for them.
A bit like Liberty’s values we’d say!
That’s no surprise as if you hadn’t already guessed from the image; Rick is brother to Scott and Glenn.
The sky was blue, the water was like glass, the company was outstanding – a great day’s sailing and business. However, we are led to understand that it might not have been so glorious the next day with some paracetamol needed.
